About the role

As a Junior Data Engineer, you're part of the Customer team, working behind the scenes to keep customer implementations and the Predikt platform running smoothly. You work independently based on clear input and requirements. You'll have some contact with the clients but your mainly focused on the engineering side.

What you'll do

• Build, run and maintain data pipelines, including re-running scripts for specific periods when needed

• Set up and maintain technical environments (including SSO) and support deployments and releases

• Provide first-line bug fixing and technical troubleshooting

• Help prepare demos: clean and process data, and load the right data into demo environments

• Execute technical tasks and think along, working independently based on input gathered by others on the team

What we're looking for

• A can-do mentality: you dive in, figure things out, and don't wait around when something is unclear

• A Bachelor's degree in a technical or IT-related field

• A first affinity with Python and/or SQL

• Exposure to frontend technologies

• A structured, independent way of working

• Curiosity about data and systems, and a willingness to learn

• You are fluent in English, knowledge of Dutch is not required.

• Candidates must already have an unrestricted right to work in Belgium/EU at the time of application. We are unfortunately not able to sponsor a work permit (single permit) or visa for this role.

Nice to have

• Exposure to cloud environments or deployment tooling

• An interest in scripting or automating repetitive tasks (real room to grow the role in that direction as you take on more ownership)
