What You’ll Do

• Lead by Example: Be a hands-on technical leader, contributing code, architectural insights, and best practices to our backend platform.

• Expand and mentor: Guide and grow a squad of backend engineers. Conduct code reviews, set standards, and foster a culture of continuous learning.

• AI/ML Trailblazer: Strong background in building and integrating AI/ML-driven products for transformative applications.

• Collaborate for Success: Work closely with cross-functional teams (product, frontend, security) to deliver seamless, reliable, and secure experiences for our customers.

• Automate & Optimize: Introduce CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and cloud tools that streamline releases and minimize downtime.

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years of backend engineering experience with a strong track record in Python or Go (or both).

• Hands-On Leadership: Prior experience in leading or mentoring engineering teams—bonus if you’ve built a team from the ground up.

• Expertise in Cloud & Platform: Proficiency in AWS or other cloud providers. Experience with microservices, container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, etc.) and AI/ML technologies.

• Database Proficiency: Skilled in both SQL and NoSQL (such as DynamoDB).

• Problem-Solving Mindset: Adept at diagnosing complex performance issues, bottlenecks, and scaling challenges.

• Effective Communicator: Comfortable translating technical details to cross-functional stakeholders.

• Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field—Master’s is a plus.
